Futurismo. L’Idea e il Movimento
The Exhibit-Event in Second Life opens to the public.
It opens its doors in Camp Italia, in the metaverse of Second Life and in conjunction with the dates of the Parisian exhibition of futuristic painters (5 – 24 February 1912), the exhibition “Futurismo. The Idea and the Movement.”
«It is an all-Italian story that becomes international, it is the genius of a handful of men who ventured into a new, bold project, imbued with the birth of a progress made of speed and movement in those roaring and restless 20s of the last century», says Asia Connell, curator of the exhibition.
From Marinetti to Balla, from Boccioni to Depero to the Russian and Ukrainian Vanguard, a roundup of art, artists and thoughts within an exhibition of works that increasingly confirms the value of virtual environments to make and spread culture, and as a carrier of art and peace.
The Second Life platform is confirmed to date among the most advanced virtual (metaverse) environments used in the realization of cultural, educational and scientific projects, with the presence of prestigious universities and international research centers.
Camp Italia was founded in 2020 as a project for the reception of an Italian-speaking user and, over the years, has developed as a hub for the dissemination of Tricolor Culture.
The Exhibition opens to the public on February 24, 2023.
