Jeff Daniel Phillips, Sheri Moon Zombie, and Daniel Roebuck step into 1313 Mockingbird Lane

Rob Zombie’s reboot of The Munsters finally has a cast, just in time for the Halloween season. Zombie took to his Instagram on Monday morning to show off the movie’s four main characters: Herman Munster, Lily Munster, Grandpa (AKA The Count), and 1313 Mockingbird Lane itself.

Jeff Daniel Philips, of Westworld and Zombie’s own The Lords of Salem and 3 From Hell, will play Herman. Sheri Moon Zombie from Rob Zombie’s Halloween, House of 1,000 Corpses, The Devil’s Rejects, and The Lords of Salem will play Lily. And Daniel Roebuck of Getting Grace fame will play Grandpa. Herman and Lily’s werewolf son, Eddie, and their positively normal niece, Marilyn, haven’t been cast yet.

The Munsters first aired in 1964, and tells the story of a family that moves from Transylvania to the suburbs of America. Herman is based on Frankenstein’s monster, and has the neck bolts and bulky appearance to prove it. His wife and father-in-law — Lily and The Count — are both vampires. While always kind and loving, the family tends to scare off neighbors with the monster under their stairs and a variety of other macabre decorations in their home. We don’t have many details on Zombie’s take on the monstrous family, although he is a massive fan of the original series.

Zombie has been updating his Instagram followers with Munsters updates for some time now, but this is his most substantial yet. The film doesn’t have an official release date.
