One of the most highly rated virtual reality (VR) videogames on the Oculus Store for Oculus Quest is Mighty Coconut’s Walkabout Mini Golf. Today, the team has announced that Walkabout Mini Golf will be expanding support to PC VR headsets next month.
As you may suspect from a mini-golf videogame, Walkabout Mini Golf is all about carefully putting your way through an ever more elaborate series of courses, all with highly realistic physics. There are currently seven 18-hole courses to try and master, from snowy, rocky peaks to beautiful, cherry blossom-filled valley’s.
Supporting both solo and multiplayer modes, you can create a quick online match or create a private room for you and four mates. There’s more than just the standard seven courses to complete because once they’re done you’ll want to activate Night Mode to ramp up the difficulty.
Whilst on the course you’ll want to keep an eye out not only for the best putting line but also hidden golf balls. Over 100 of these little custom suckers are littered throughout Walkabout Mini Golf for you to try and find. On top of all that, on each hard course there are treasure hunts to complete where you can earn some special putters.
Recently, Mighty Coconut released a Flyabout Update so that Oculus Quest owners could literally fly around the courses, admiring the view and great for deeper exploration.
The studio hasn’t said if the Steam version will have any differences or additional features, although VRFocus would expect enhanced visuals. Walkabout Mini Golf will support Oculus Rift, HTC Vive, Valve Index and Windows Mixed Reality headset when it launches on 15th July 2021. For further updates keep reading VRFocus.
