Camp Italia, the educational region in Second Life, adheres to the “call” of the United Nations for the “International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women.”

The event starts on November 25, 2020, and lasts 16 days until December 10, 2020, as per UN call.

Citizens and organizations around the world support the campaign to promote the prevention and elimination of violence against women and girls and was conceived by the first Global Women Leadership Institute in 1991 coordinated by the Center for Women’s Global Leadership.

It is linked to two significant anniversaries: November 25 (International Day on Violence against Women) and December 10 (International Day for Human Rights).

Thus, the sixteen days of the campaign serve as a bridge to these days to call for the elimination of all forms of gender-based violence.

Camp Italia joined the call with an ad hoc photographic exhibition by the Italian artist Dadi88. Simultaneously, concerts and cultural activities take place throughout the sim, in Second Life, to say no to gender violence and against women.
