Genus Project is open again: some considerations

Three months have passed since the Genus Project announced its closure due to a report sent to Linden Lab for alleged copyright infringement.

Yesterday Olga Orel (Freezea) gave the happy news of the reopening of the store with some important news.

The first of them, which is attracting the attention of many people, is the splendid mesh head as a gift, with skin included by ItGirls (Dani).

The second is a 40% discount on all mesh heads currently on sale (discount without time limit).

Other important changes on the heads already released are:

• Head update for a full-fledged BOM (men’s head will be released in the new BOM version with HD levels in all types of faces simultaneously)
• HUD design and optimization
• HD layer for eyeshadow.

The crowd that has been filling the store since yesterday is worthy of a successful shopping event. The sim is often full, and being able to snatch yourself at the Genus Project store seems impossible. With a little patience and repeated attempts, you can succeed.

Now some personal considerations. I believe that the story that happened in this historic and beloved shop opened our eyes to the injustice of legislation that “presumes guilt until proven otherwise.” Usually, in a civilized country, precisely the opposite happens; that is, innocence is presumed until proven otherwise. Furthermore, if silence was a must in the time when Linden Lab had to evaluate the merits or not of the report, at this point, I think it is right that we know who reported the famous mesh head shop. In fact, if it were not so, the message would be passed that it is enough to make a report, to heavily damage a shop. In this sense, I think Olga Orel is rightly insisting with Linden Lab to get this information.

Sono passati tre mesi da quando Genus Project ha annunciato la sua chiusura a causa di una segnalazione giunta alla Linden Lab per una presunta violazione del copyright.

Ieri Olga Orel (Freezea) ha dato la lieta notizia della riapertura del negozio con alcune importanti novità.

La prima di esse, che sta attirando l’attenzione di moltissime persone, è la splendida testa mesh in regalo, con skin inclusa di ItGirls (Dani).

La seconda è uno sconto del 40% su tutte le teste mesh attualmente in vendita (sconto senza limite di tempo).

Altre importanti novità sulle teste già rilasciate sono:

• Aggiornamento della testa per un BOM a tutti gli effetti (la testa degli uomini sarà rilasciata nella nuova versione BOM con livelli HD in tutti i tipi di volti contemporaneamente)
• Progettazione e ottimizzazione degli HUD
• Strato HD per l’ombretto.

La folla che sta riempiendo il negozio da ieri è degna di un evento shopping di successo. La sim è spesso piena e riuscire a tipparsi al negozio di Genus Project sembra impossibile. Con un po’ di pazienza e ripetuti tentativi, si può riuscire.

Ora alcune considerazioni personali. Credo che la vicenda accaduta a questo storico e amato negozio ci ha aperto gli occhi sull’ingiustizia di una normativa che “presume la colpevolezza sino a prova contraria“. Di solito, in un Paese civilizzato, accade esattamente il contrario, e cioè si presume l’innocenza fino a prova contraria. Inoltre, se il silenzio era doveroso nel frangente di tempo in cui la Linden Lab doveva valutare la fondatezza o meno della segnalazione, a questo punto credo che sia giusto che si sappia chi ha segnalato il celebre negozio di teste mesh. Infatti, se così non fosse, passerebbe il messaggio che basta fare una segnalazione, per danneggiare pesantemente un negozio. In questo senso, credo che Olga Orel giustamente stia insistendo con la Linden Lab per ottenere questa informazione.
