“I am proud to announce the opening party of an exposition at the art café and gallery at the beautiful Le Manoir de Provence Hotel!

Hibiscus Hastings will show a selection of her works! It is a mix of photos she took during her travels in since the early days of Second Life.

I know her over about 10 years now.

She shares the interests in art and to explore new virtual worlds with me.”

“I first entered Second Life in 2007 after learning about an art work created by Lynn Hershman Leeson that linked up an installation in Second Life with RL. I thought I would just pop in to see what it was all about and that would be it. Thirteen years later I am still here.

While trying to find my way around SL in those early days I made friends and visited interesting sims which lead to blogging about all these discoveries. I used to submit reports on CNN iReports, a website run by CNN which allowed citizen journalists to share stories. Unfortunately the site no longer exists. I also began blogging for Virtually London (lite) which focused on the life and avatars of living in the London sims. These sims are now gone but the blog still exists.

Through blogging I found photography which continues to be a great interest and mode of expression. I continue to blog at https://hibiscush.wordpress.com/
